One of the best things about owning a neighborhood business is participating in its functions and organizations. It has been our privilege to give donations to all of the schools in Noe Valley (and most of the schools in San Francisco, for that matter) and to our local churches and organizations.
A neighborhood is only as good as its citizens and we try to be active and supportive citizens of Noe Valley. We also have a few organizations and schools outside of Noe Valley that we are also privileged to support.
We do a large fundraiser each year for Michael’s alma mater, Salesian High School in Richmond, CA www.salesian.com to provide scholarships for students, we support Food Runners www.foodrunners.org in their efforts to alleviate hunger in San Francisco, and Kiva www.kiva.org by making micro loans to bakers all over the world.
We also support Kiddo! In Mill Valley, which we think is one of the best ideas since sliced bread. Every city should have a Kiddo! www.kiddo.org.
